Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY) is to develop procedures for purchasing of materials and services and to promote physical logistics (i.e. transport, storage, handling) and the professional skills of employees in logistics for the benefit of the Finnish economy and society.

The objectives are to improve logistics and increase the internal and external integration of logistics, to develop the utilization of computer processing and data interchange in logistics and to present Finnish logistics services.

President of the association is Ms. Raili Hilakari and Executive Vice President Mr. Mikko Melasniemi.

 

Members and Regional Activity

Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY) has 3600 individual members and 240 corporate members. It has 12 districts: Helsinki-Uusimaa, Häme, Keski-Suomi, Kymenlaakso, Pirkanmaa, Pohjoinen, Päijät-Häme, Saimaa, Satakunta, Savo-Karjala, Turku and Vaasan lääni - Vasa län.

 

Magazine and Exhibition

The Logistiikka magazine is the most comprehensive logistics trade journal in Finland. The magazine has 22,000 regular readers, 83% of them decision-makers at various levels.
