In Sweden, e-commerce company Zalando plans to construct a new logistics centre covering 30,000 square metres outside of Stockholm. The company has partnered with IT distribution company Ingram Micro in the project, which is expected to become operational before the end of 2017. The new centre is part of Zalando's ambition to increase its revenue from the Nordic countries by EUR 1bn (USD 1.19bn), which will require a stronger presence for the benefit of the customers. Meanwhile, Joakim Samuelsson, head of Commerce & Fulfillment Services at Ingram Micro, states that about 500 employees will be located to the new centre.
