Sweden: Foreign logistics companies could avoid tax via loophole
Göteborgs Posten, 08 Dec 2017, online:-
Swedish radio news broadcaster Sveriges Radio Ekot reports that foreign road transport companies could avoid Swedish taxes via frequent transports to Norway. This allows the transports to be classified as international transports, something which authorities and trade associations argue is a loophole. Pia Bergman at the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) states that many companies arrive to Sweden via legal means, but that they often remain and avoid taxes by operating under the radar.
