Logistics Seminar 2012
February 9 - 10, 2012Leading meeting place of purchasing and logistics in Northern Europe!
The Logistics Seminar has become a popular and anticipated international event that has a lot to offer to all actors involved with SCM, purchasing, and logistics decisions.
The seminar consists of two parts: the seminar at the Finlandia Hall (see location) and meeting and contact forums on the TallikSilja cruiser.
Over the years the Logistics Seminar has provided information about supply chain management trends, as well as new knowledge about changes, innovations and development trends in the logistics industry. So it is no wonder that in recent years we have had over 1000 participants annually.
Trends, vision and current challenges on the table
Some 20 years ago the concept of “logistics” was quite new in Finland. The seminar was entitled “Transport Seminar”. Today logistics is one of the key factors of efficient company operations. In this context the Logistics Seminar can be named one of the most important platforms, a place to up-date ones information on current questions as well as to meet with other players and trend-setters of this field. The Finlandia Hall is a venue where once again current managers and specialists, as well as senior experts, who have earlier been involved in the logistics business, and university and college students, the future specialists in the area of logistics, gather together and network.
Who is the logistician and the logistics company or project of the year in Finland?
In the forenoon the winner of the logistician of the year and the logistics company or project of the year in Finland will be announced at the seminar. The title of the Logistician in Finland of the year is awarded to a person who has contributed to and fostered logistics strongly and/or has been actively involved in the development of logistics. The title of the Logistics Company/project of the year in Finland is awarded either on the basis of high-level, versatile and consistent development of logistics or on a concrete logistics development project and/or research, which supports operational and economical profitability and generates new ideas and innovations. The title of the logistician of the year has been recognized since 2001 and that of the logistics company/project of the year since 1994.
