Vesa Puttonen, Professor, Dr. Ec, Aalto University School of Economics
Vesa Puttonen is Professor of Finance at Aalto University School of Economics. He has published several books and studies about strategic financing, risk management and investments.  He is also a member of the board of the following companies and foundations: Rocla Oy, Oras Invest Oy, Taaleritehdas Asset Management Ltd., SM-Liiga Oy and the Stock Exchange Foundation.

CEO Nick Gerrard, NHS Supply Chain, DHL Supply Chain
Nick Gerrard joined the NHS Supply Chain in June 2007 as Chief Operating Officer and took up the position of CEO in August 2010. He joined DHL (formerly Exel plc) in 1989 and has worked in the retail and consumer sectors with many leading national and global brands. For the last nine years Nick has worked in the Healthcare sector as Vice President for DHL’s Healthcare operations across Europe and then as Managing Director for DHL’s UK Healthcare sector.
Kevin F. Smith, President & CEO, Sustainable Supply Chain Consulting
Kevin Smith is the president & CEO of Sustainable Supply Chain Consulting. Earlier he was  SVP of  Supply Chain & Logistics for CVS Caremark, an American  pharmacy & healthcare services provider. Mr. Smith advises many companies on supply chain strategy planning. He serves as a special advisor to World 50 and is a contributor to the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics and the MIT Efficient Healthcare Delivery Research Group. He also has  extensive experience  in the field of consumer packaged goods (CPG) as VP of Logistics at H.J. Heinz and Kraft Foods.

Pekka Orne, Chair of the Board, the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics LOGY y
Pekka Orne works as a quality manager for Posten Logistik SCM Oy, which  belongs to the PostNord AB group. His areas of responsibility include risk management, safety and quality systems. From the beginning of 2012 Mr. Orne  took over  as chair of the board of the Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics (LOGY). “Logistics and purchasing are extremely meaningful for companies throughout all their various business cycles. Logy offers the use of its networks   to secure  and develop the know-how of our industry professionals. It is through different partnerships the best practices can be deployed by all.”

Stig Gustavson, Chair of the Board, Konecranes Oyj
Honorary mining counselor Stig Gustavson has served as chair of the board of Konecranes since 2005. Prior to that he worked for a long time as the company´s MD  and CEO. Mr. Gustavson has acted as chair of the board of directors and as a board member  in several  listed and family-owned companies as well as  private equity companies. Today he is  a member of the board of the following companies: Ahlström Capital, Cramon, Dynea, Handelsbanken Finland and Mercantile.  
Hannu Penttilä, CEO, Stockmann Oyj Abp
Hannu Penttilä, LLM, has worked in various management positions at Stockmann since 1978 and  as CEO of the company since 2001. Up to  the end of 2011 he served as  chair of the board of the Central Chamber of Commerce. Today he  holds various positions of trust including being a member of the board  of Nokia Tyres and the East Office of Finnish Industries and  is also chair of the board of the Finnish Hockey League.

Leena Mörttinen, Director, the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK
Leena Mörttinen,  a director at EK, is responsible for ”Competitiveness and Growth” and is also a member of the Executive Committee. She holds a doctorate in political science from the University of Helsinki. Prior to that she  was  in charge of Nordea´s European Affairs Unit, served as a senior economics advisor at the Central Bank of Europe and was an advisor to the Bank of Finland. Ms. Mörttinen is a member of the board at the University of Oulu and Finnish Industry Investment Ltd.

Göran Åberg, CEO, Oy Schenker East Ab
Göran Åberg is Oy Schenker East Ab´s CEO and is  in charge of DB Schenker Finland and the DB Schenker East-Europe region which includes the Baltic countries, Poland, Russia and other CIS countries as well as Central Asia. Mr. Åberg  holds several positions of trust. He  is  chair of the board of the Association of Finnish Forwarders and a member of the board of the Association of Employers of the Service Sector PALTA.

Jukka Ojapelto, Director, S-Group
Director Jukka Ojapelto has worked in the S-Group for almost 40 years, of which the last 20 years have been in the management of the grocery business. Since 2007  he has been the director of S-Group’s grocery shop chain, Ojapelto. During this time  he has seen and has been involved in  many changes in this field of business. One of the most  critical has been the development of logistics and the transfer  of goods into accurately optimized factors of productivity.


Christophe Loiseau, Senior Vice President, Western Europe and Automotive, CHEP Europe
Christophe Loiseau joined the CHEP Europe management team in 2003 as SVP  and since then he has lead various  operations from the retail division to the automotive division and strategic marketing. His current role is to lead the Strategic Radar process, which is part of CHEP’s customer approach strategy. Mr. Loiseau,  a graduate from the French business school(which one?). has worked since the early 80s  in sales, marketing and supply chains both in Europe and Asia.
  Repe Harmanen, CEO, Solteq Oyj
Repe Harmanen, Sc.Econ., has been Soteq's CEO since autumn 2010. Earlier he was manager of customer relations and business development in the following companies: Fujitsu Services Oy, Hewlett-Packard EMEA and SysOpen Oyj. Solteq, a 30-year old listed company, is a leading Finnish provider of IT supply chain services and solutions for retail and service businesses. In spring 2012 Solteq Oyj merged with Aldata Solution Finland Oy.
Martin Vicary, Director, Parts Subcontracting, Konecranes
Martin Vicary is responsible for a global team that  handles sourcing and supply strategy, supplier selection, price negotiations, and supplier performance at Konecranes.  Earlier he  held different sourcing director positions at Quintel, Power-One, Teliasonera and Nokia Networks. With over twelve years’ experience in supply chain management he is familiar with a wide range of materials, components and lean concepts.

Tomi Arola, Vice President, Logistics Valmet Automotive
Tomi Arola, M. Sc., works at Valmet Automotiven as Logistics VP. Valmet Automotive provides design and manufacturing services for the automotive industry, convertible roof systems and related business services. He has worked a total of 15 years in the field of development of logistics processes for the industry,  10 of which  have been focused on  supply chains for the automotive industry.  Mr. Arola has extensive experience in developing  and managing  order-delivery processes.
  Michael Düster, Nordics Managing Director, UPS
Michael Düster joined UPS in Germany in 1986 and has had various manager positions in Europe since then. He was, for example, in charge of expanding UPS air operations in Europe and had a crucial role in shaping the current European air network. In his current role as Nordics MD, his responsibilities include financial and operational oversight, business development and employee development  in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland.

Lauri Vesalainen, Vice President, Itella Logistics
Lauri Vesalainen has worked at Itella Logistics as a vice president and a member of the Executive Board since May 2011. Mr. Vesalainen has strong know-how on international supply chain management. Prior to moving to Itella, he  spent 16 years working for Nokia, where among other positions, he led logistics, purchasing and production operations for the global mobile phone business and was responsible for operation management in Asia. Before that  he served 10 years in Valmet in various logistics positions.

Tapio Mäkinen, Chair of the Board, SE Mäkinen Logistics Oy
Transport company SE Mäkinen was established in 1952. Tapio Mäkinen,  chair of the board, has worked in the company’s management positions since 1972. His childhood and youth were spent  close to the company as the main office  was located next to his home and in 1987 he took over the business  from  other family members.   Over the decades Mr. Mäkinen has also  held a significant number of positions of trust in other transport and logistics companies and organizations.
Karl-Heinz Dullinger, Senior Consultant, LSCC Logistics Services Consulting and Concepting
Karl-Heinz Dullinger is very experienced in logistics, a field in which he has worked for  the last 35 years as head of logistics at SIEMENS and CEO Germany at Vanderlande Industries. In April 2008 he established his own consulting company, LSCC. The main business areas are the automotive industry, consumer logistics, in-plant handling, airports and the express & courier business. Mr. Dullinger is an active member in work groups for logistics guidelines in Germany and has written many books and articles about logistics.

Aki Latvanne, Category Manager, Logistics, Kone Oyj
Aki Latvanne, M. Sc., has been responsible for the purchasing of logistics services globally in KONE Corporation since 2008. Prior to that he worked for a long time in Nokia Networks in logistics management.  He has extensive experience in the project management  of mining and off-shore projects. KONE is one of the global leaders in the elevator and escalator industry.
  Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer, Chair of the Executive Board
Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL)

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer has gained his wide experience in the field of SCM working for several organizations including BMW in Dingolfing, Sauer-Sundstrand in Neumuenster and Bremer Vulkan Werft. Since 1999 he has been working for the German Logistics Association (BVL) in Bremen, first as a member of the Executive Board and since 2004 as its chair.  He is also chair of the curatorship of the Deutsche Außenhandels- und Verkehrsakademie (DAV). He is a highly appreciated lecturer on logistics. In 2009 he received an honorary professorship from Bremen University.
Juha Laakkonen, CEO, Lappset Group Oy
Juha Laakkonen has worked as the CEO of Lappset Group Oy since the beginning of 2008. He is a graduate engineer of information technology  and has a BBA degree in accounting.  In addition to his own daily work he has numerous positions of trust.  He is, for example,  a board member  of Kontiotuote Oy and chair of the board of Santapark Oy. He also serves as the Honorary Consul of Iceland in Lapland.

  Dr. Petri Parvinen, Professor of Sales Management, the Aalto School of Economics
Dr. Parvinen is the first-ever Finnish Professor of Sales Management at the Aalto School of Economics. He has worked with over 150 organizations, reinforcing commercial and business thinking particularly in environments where it has not spawned naturally. He continues  to work as a multi-entrepreneur, salesman and consultant internationally.  He has B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science and the CEMS Master’s from LSE and the Stockholm School of Economics.
