Denmark: Sale of Maersk Drilling more likely than sale of Maersk Supply Service
Energiwatch, 08 Nov 2017, online:-
Danish business conglomerate A.P. Møller-Mærsk has published its financial report for Q3 2017, which shows that while its Drilling division has been classified as discontinued operations, its Supply Service division has not. Company CEO Jakob Satusholm states that this stems from A.P. Møller-Mærsk expecting to divest Maersk Drilling within the next 12 months, and that the choice not to re-classify Maersk Supply Service is related to the market being more difficult. The company management still retains its goal to find new ownership structures for both divisions, where sales, joint ventures and IPOs are the most likely options.
