Latvia: Freeport of Riga's passenger turnover up 46% in H1/2017

Latvia's Freeport of Riga served a total of 364,199 passengers in the first half of 2017, which was 45.7% more than in the same period of 2016. Estonian shipping company Tallink's ferry line between Riga and Stockholm carried 329,400 passengers in six months, which was 40.5% more than a year earlier. The number of cruise ships docking at the port was 33, carrying 34,843 passengers, which was 2.2 times more than in the first half of 2016. Most of the cruise passengers were from the US, Germany, and the UK.
