The Latvian stevedoring group, Rigas Tirdzniecibas Osta (RTO), generated a consolidated turnover of EUR 175.329mn in 2016, which was down 20.5% from EUR 219.324mn in 2015. The group suffered an annual loss of EUR 197,493 as opposed to a profit of EUR 100,430 a year earlier. RTO's main company generated a turnover of EUR 258.873mn in 2016, which was down 15.2% from EUR 305.146mn in 2015. The company's annual profit was EUR 16.726mn, which was down 16.4% from EUR 20mn a year earlier. The group's companies forwarded 11.1mn tons of cargo (down 10.5%), reloaded 10.3mn tons of cargo (down 16.2%), and shipped 8.5mn tons of cargo by rail (down 27.3%) in 2016.
