Sweden/Finland: Project on safe Baltic Sea transports

The Swedish Maritime Administration (Sjöfartsverket) has launched the project EfficientFlow to improve maritime transport safety on the Baltic Sea. Focus will be on improving the safety on the Stockholm-Turku ferry route and effectivising the goods flow between Gävle and Rauma ports. The project will last from 2018 until 2021. The budget is EUR 4.50mn (USD 5.38mn), with major support from the EU's regional programme Interreg Central Baltic. Other project partners include the Finnish transport agency and Satakunta University.
