In partnership with Dutch company Aangetekend, Belgian company Ipex is launching in Belgium an electronic registered mail service targeting companies. The service is intended to replace registered mail. The price will be between EUR 0.23 (USD 0.26) and EUR 0.697. Each year, 33mn registered letters are sent in Belgium, including 30mn through Belgian public mail company bpost. Registered mail is thought to generate sales of EUR 170mn for bpost. In 2017 or 2018, bpost is planning to allow customers to send registered mail electronically. The company will be responsible for printing and sending the document.
