In China's Shanxi province, the postal administration bureau reported that combined revenues generated from postage jumped 14.88% to CNY 3.95bn (EUR 526.61mn USD 591.49mn) from January to September 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015. In terms of volume, the entire province provided CNY 4.046bn worth of postal services. On the other hand, express delivery reaped CNY 1.442bn in revenue, up by 33.87%; volume spiked 51.54% to 121.4608mn pieces. Meanwhile, mails and documents delivery generated 36.65% less in volume, stood at 20.9192mn pieces over the nine-month period. In September 2016 alone, total postage revenue and postage volume grew 85.01% and 75.88% year-on-year to CNY 219mn and 18.3229mn pieces respectively.
