France: Gefco turnover up 1.3% in 2016, Ebitda up 32%
Les Echos, 29 May 2017, online:-
French automotive logistics group Gefco reported a EUR 4.22bn (USD 4.72bn) turnover in 2016, up 1.3%, while its Ebitda surged by 32% to EUR 172.80mn. For 2017, its budget is based on a EUR 4.35bn budget anticipation, as well as on a EUR 185mn Ebitda (+8%), and these targets will likely be exceeded. The group aims to reduce its reliance on the automobile sector and has won contracts in the tech and pharmacy sectors. Moreover, it is now focusing on companies with complex needs, thus selling services with higher value-added. On the PSA plant of Mulhouse, Gefco employees now take part in the assembly process. The firm intends to enhance this industrial activity. Furthermore, it has withheld the five-year EUR 8bn exclusive contract signed with PSA.
