France: ID Logistics announces winning start-ups in smart warehouse competition
Stratégies Logistique, 15 Nov 2017, online:-
ID Logistics has announced the three winning start-ups in the competition for smart warehouse solutions and digitising the logistics chain. The grand prize was awarded to Livejourney, a logistics solution based on an algorithm which makes 15,000 predictions per second. The interface incorporates gaming and allows the user to directly react to flux indicators and costs. Livejourney is perfectly adapted to fast paced e-commerce logistics. The second place prize went to E-dentic, a sensor based solution which automatically validates tasks performed by determining where a person is in the warehouse based on their distance from various sensors. The third prize was awarded to Cosling for a solution based on optimization algorithms to digitize the preparation of orders by indicating where to place each package using 3D visualization. These three smart warehouse solutions were selected from 56 entries by a jury of ID logistics customers and an associate professor at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon. The three winning projects will be incorporated in a ID Logistics warehouse, with support from ID logistics teams. A monitoring committee will meet each month to assess the quality of the pilot implementation, possible difficulties, and the feasibly of deploying the smart warehouse solution in all relevant ID logistics sites.
