The German Fraunhofer Institute for material flow and logistics (IML) and the Germany-based Technical University of Dortmund (TU Dortmund) will test and develop new digital technologies from 2017. The tests will take place in the new Innovationlab Hybrid Services in Logistics facility. In addition, companies will be able to test new concepts for agile logistics systems and submit man-machine interface functions through a tendering and selection procedure. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research will support the project with funding of EUR 10mn (USD 11.23mn) over a period of three years.
