The Dutch sector for transport and warehousing exported EUR 22bn (USD 24.71bn) worth of services in 2014 which is 15% of the total services exported by companies in the Netherlands, according to the Dutch statistics bureau CBS. The sector was chosen by the Dutch government several years ago as a point of focus and the government selected eight other such top sectors. The high-tech systems and materials sector exported EUR 13bn of services and the chemicals sector exported EUR 4bn of services. In total, all nine sectors exported EUR 48bn worth of services or 32% of the total services export. Some EUR 168bn of goods were exported by the sectors which is 39% of the total goods export.
