The turnover of the Dutch transport sector increase year-on-year by 4.7% in the second quarter of 2017, according to the Dutch statistics bureau CBS. The growth was seen in all the transport and logistics sectors. The strongest growth was seen for air transport and the lowest growth was 4% for shipping. The confidence of companies has remained steady at 7.5 with any rating over zero being positive. The total number of bankruptcies reached 55 and 40% of these bankruptcies were road transport companies. The total number of companies active in the transport sector increased by 5% to over 40,000 companies.
