Poland: Warehouse market notes record high demand in Q1

It has been reported by JLL that gross demand for warehouse space in Poland reached the record-breaking level of 855,000 m2 in the first quarter of 2017 with 70% of lease agreements sealed by Panattoni and Prologis. The highest demand was recorded in Upper Silesia, followed by Warsaw and Wroclaw. JLL has also revealed that 538,000 m2 of new warehouse space was delivered in the country and the total warehouse space stock amounted to 11.7mn m2 , giving Poland the eights position in the EU. At present, works on the construction of 1.39mn m2 of new warehouses are in process including warehouses developeed for Amazon and Zalando which altogether will deliver 291,000 of space.
