Slovakia: 70,000 m2 of new halls added in industrial parks in Q1 2017

In the first quarter of 2017 three largest developers in Slovakia built 70,000 m2 of new halls in logistics and industrial parks, which was more than double against the beginning of 2016, when only 32,000 m2 were completed. According to the real estate consultancy firm JLL, overall logistics and industrial in the country thus rose to 1.78mn m2. In Q1 2017 the developer P3 added 26,000 m2 of space, of which 17,000 m2 was built in Lozorno for PTG Slovakia and 9,000 m2 in Zilina. Prologis built around 22,000 m2 of space in the Senec industrial park and also completed 4,000 m2 of space in the industrial complex in Nove Mesto nad Vahom. In Q1 2017 Goodman of Australia added nearly 18,000 m2 of space in Senec. Currently nearly 130,000 m2 of logistics and industrial is under construction, of which 56% is being built in western Slovakia. CTP is currently working on 14,600 m2 of new space in Trnava, 13,000 m2 in Nitra, 14,000 m2 in Zilina and 9,000 m2 in Bratislava's Devinska Nova Ves.
