Sweden: Collaboration on fossil-free transports launched
Infrastrukturnyheter, 19 Oct 2017, online:-
The Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies (Sveriges Åkeriföretag) and the Fossil Free Sweden (Fossilfritt Sverige) initiative have launched their collaboration for a shift to fossil-free transports. The goal is to develop a plan for attaining a fossil-free transport industry. The plan will be reported to the prime minister in March 2018. Fossil-free transports will increase companies' competitiveness and helps to attain climate goals, according to Svante Axelsson from Fossil Free Sweden. According to the association and the initiative, collaboration between the industry and political representatives must improve and new requirements should be set for transport procurements, where low emissions should be premiered.
