Figures from the Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies (Sveriges Åkeriföretag) show that forestry transport is less profitable than other goods transports. Median turnover in forestry transport decreased by about 2.6% in 2016. This is due to long-term pricing pressure in the paper industry and delayed new regulations on maximum vehicle weights.
