In a debate article, Joakim Ärlund of Swedish port employer association Sveriges Hamnar is critical of the Swedish Dock Workers' Union (Hamnarbetarförbundet), which claims supporting "the Swedish Model", but nevertheless has rejected the proposal from the mediator in the conflict with the Port of Gothenburg. This means the union in practise rejects the Swedish labour market model, according to the employer representative. By not signing the collective agreement, the Dock Workers' Union does not live up to its alleged willingness to solve the conflict through negotiations, Joakim Ärlund writes.
