Sweden: SSAB to test carbon dioxide-free transports

Swedish steel company SSAB Oxelösund will cooperate with fork lift manufacturer Kalmar and transport and logistics research institute TFK in the development of carbon dioxide-free internal transports. A technology based on hydrogen and fuel cells will be tested in a forklift at the production facility in Oxelösund. The test will go on for five to eight months. The project has a budget of about SEK 10mn (EUR 1.05mn USD 1.18mn) to which the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) has contributed.
