Sweden: Swedish ports want Nord Stream 2 - despite government's warning
Dagens Nyheter, 07 Jan 2017, online:-
Region Gotland decided to step back from plans to rent the port of Slite to the Nord Stream 2 project. This was done after the Swedish government had warned of the consequences on Swedish defence policy of renting Swedish ports to a state-owned Russian company. Nine other regions around the Baltic Sea have now expressed interest in renting their ports to the project. Nord Stream's Swedish chief adviser, Lars O Grönstedt, says that he had not counted on receiving so many offers. He does not wish to disclose the names of the interested parties.
