Meet the speakers
Ville Hatakka
Team Manager Gas Trading & Optimizing, Gasum
Ville Hatakka joined Gasum in early 2019 from Nordea Bank. As a manager of LNG and Natural Gas, Ville oversees both short- and long-term trading, both physical and financial. Together with his team, he also manages the storage positions and natural gas wholesale customer accounts. His current role requires daily monitoring of European energy landscape and analyzing how current carbon reduction targets are aligned with the tools available in the energy sector, now and in the future.
Ville has acquired significant energy market expertise during the 19 years he worked for Nordea and he holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Tampere in Finland and has lived in United States, United Kingdom and Finland.
Laura Ylimäki
Business manager, Gaia Consulting Oy
Laura has been working as a sustainability consultant for 10+ years and is responsible for helping companies in setting climate targets and taking strategic sustainability action. She especially finds joy in coaching organizations and leaders to shift mindsets towards more sustainable ways of working.
