According to a survey by Swedish Vocational Training and Working Environment Council for the transport sector (Transportfackens yrkes- och arbetsmiljönämnd, TYA), 30% of road transport companies will likely hire more truck drivers in the next six months. In total, the need for truck drivers amount to 2,200 according to the survey. 4% of companies responded that they will likely lay off drivers. 52% stated that they expect to maintain the current number of drivers. 806 companies participated in the survey.
