Germany: Sea ports in Lower Saxony increase cargo volume in H1 2017

The combined cargo volume handled at the nine sea ports in the German federal state of Lower Saxony was 25.8mn tonnes in the first half of 2017, up by 8% over the same period one year before. In particular, the cargo handled at the port in Wilhelmshaven was 14.17mn tonnes, up by 12%. The ports in Stade and Brake followed with 2.90mn tonnes and 2.75mn tonnes respectively.
