Iceland: Drones begin delivering food to Icelanders
Iceland Review, 24 Aug 2017, online:-
Icelandic on-demand goods service AHA and Israeli drone logistics company Flytrex have set up a small drone food delivery route in Reykjavík. Instead of having to drive food across different streets, these drones fly a straight route without polluting the environment. At the same time, they offer quicker delivery. Currently, there will be about twenty drone deliveries a day, with more routes to follow by the end of 2017. The companies also plan to offer drone deliveries straight to people's doorsteps, although they will not be landing. Instead, the goods will be lowered to the ground using a wire.
