Lithuania: Shell to supply LNG for testing Klaipeda LNG distribution terminal
Baltic Course (The), 01 Aug 2017, online:-
The Dutch Shell will deliver the first small shipment of LNG to Klaipedos Nafta (Klaipeda Oil) terminal in Lithuania, to test the gas distribution terminal of Klaipedos Nafta. Klaipedos Nafta has acquired 1,000 cubic meters of LNG from Shell Western LNG for an estimated EUR 400,000. The small-size delivery will be the first time that LNG is delivered to Klaipeda on a small LNG vessel rather than on LNG carriers, with the capacity of 140,000 cubic meters. Klaipedos Nafta would test the LNG delivery for the projected EUR 27.7mn investment in the construction of five terminals, with the capacity of 1,000 cubic meters each, for reloading LNG onto tank trucks.
