Netherlands: TLN introduces air pollution targets for the goods transport sector
Het Financieele Dagblad, 04 Sep 2017, Online:-
The Dutch transport sector organisation Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN) wants the goods transport sector to reduce its CO2 emission by 50% in 2030 compared with 2015 levels and by 0% in 2025 in inner city centres. The plans are to avoid the government introducing restrictions for the transport sector to reduce the CO2 emission levels of the sector. TLN states that subsidies are needed to encourage the use of bio-fuels instead, but states that it is likely that the city centre target can be reached.
