Norway: Fjord Line would like to see co-operation between coastal routes
Finansavisen, 22 Sep 2017, p.26-27:-
The Norwegian Ministry of Transports has initiated a tendering process for Hurtigruten's coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes in the north for the period starting by the beginning of 2020 or 2021. Fjord Line, which operates the route southwards from Bergen to Stavanger and Langesund and further south to Hirtshals in Denmark would like to see co-operation to improve connections between the routes. Currently, the timetables of Hurtigruten and Fjord Line are not co-ordinated. Hurtigruten's Communications Director Anne Marit Bjørnflaten says the company is open to discuss such co-operation.
The tendering includes both passenger and cargo transports.
