Companies in Slovakia prefer more and more leasing of premises in industrial zones rather than building their own ones. Industrial zones usually offer good transport connections to international transport links, their premises fulfil the highest norms with access to skilled workforce. Currently, there is 84,000 m2 of industrial space being built in the country according to the consultancy company JLL Slovakia. Of this, over 36,000 m2 is being built in the western part of the country, 28,000 m2 in the region of Bratislava and 14,000 m2 in eastern part of the country.
