A survey by the Swedish Association of Road Transport Companies (Sveriges Åkeriföretag) among 3,500 Swedish transport companies shows the highest value creation since 1997. This is more than twice as high as the average in the recent 20 years. Meanwhile, there are differences among various types of transport. Transport for the construction sector is the strongest since the 1990s, while retail trade transports struggle with profitability. Profitability continues to be low also in tanker and forestry transport. However, high yield and growth are especially noteworthy in waste and recycling transports.
