Sweden: New returned goods model to improve e-commerce
Dagens Handel, 13 Jan 2017, online:-
Haider Abdo is the founder of Swedish start-up company Returnado, which has developed a new model for integrating returned products into e-commerce and making it profitable. He states that returned goods are particularly detrimental to e-commerce profits, as most of the returned products cannot be sold again at full price. The new model from Returnado allows customers to communicate their concerns to the e-tailer directly, allowing for an automated correction of the purchased product without bothering about returning or cancelling the order. Abdo states that Returnado hopes to take over all return handling on behalf of e-tailers, becoming the industry's equivalent to Swedish payment services company Klarna.
