Stratégies Logistique, 08 Mar 2017, online:-
French rail road transport company TAB Rail Road has inaugurated a new combined transport line between Lille and Marseille that connects the Port of Lille to the Port of Marseille at the Terminal MedEurope and Terminal Continental de Marseille le Canet terminals, passing through the Port of Bonneuil-sur-Marne. The line, which covers over 1,000 km, has been established in order to provide direct access to the ports of the three major metropolitan areas of Lille, Paris and Marseille. The service will be available from Monday to Saturday all year round and the aim is to transport 70 ITUs per day by the end of 2017.The first and last kilometre will be covered by a fleet of six biomethane-fuelled trucks (five starting from the Paris region and one starting from Lille) and deployment of a similar fleet in Marseilles is scheduled for June 2017, completing the plan to have ten vehicles for these activities. These vehicles will be supplied in part with biomethane from the Endesa refuellling station that has recently opened in Bonneuil-sur-Marne.
