Norwegian shipping company Flex LNG is reportedly considering purchases of two high-end MEGI LNG vessels which are currently being constructed at Korean shipyard DSME. The vessels will cost USD 180mn (EUR 167.82mn) each, where 20% of the purchasing sum is to be paid up front. The remaining sum will then be paid upon delivery, which is estimated to take place in Q2 and Q3 2019. Any potential purchases is pending approval for a new directed private placement at Flex LNG, which is expected to raise gross funding amounting to NOK 1.07bn (EUR 115.02mn USD 123.37mn).
