Head of the Norwegian truck association Norges Lastebileier-Forbund (NLF), Roar Melum, stated that trade and industry transports should be exempt from road tolls. The tolls are more in line with the goal of making passenger car owners choose public transport instead. It is not reasonable that electric cars are exempt from the tolls, since heavy transports will also become more environment-friendly in the future, thus eliminating the environmental argument, Roar Melum argues.
