Uruguay's truck drivers' union Sutcra is seeking to participate in the negotiations for a second UPM pulp plant, according to its secretary Marcelo Luzardo. They would like to be involved once work on that plant begins. It wants to discuss work conditions with the firm. Talks between UPM and the Uruguayan government continue. Another union, the country's construction workers' union Sunca, stated it wanted to be involved in talks with the firm recently.
