Welcome to Logistics and Supply Chain Management Forum 2027
Intelligent by Design: Rethinking Leadership, Innovation and Capabilities in Logistics and Supply Chains
We are delighted to welcome researchers, practitioners, and doctoral students to the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Forum 2027, taking place on Wednesday, 3 February 2027 in Helsinki, Finland. Held in conjunction with the LOGY Conference — the largest procurement and logistics professional event in the Nordic countries — the LSCM Forum bridges rigorous academic inquiry with the most pressing challenges facing supply chain professionals today.
The 2027 Forum theme — Intelligent by Design: Rethinking Leadership, Innovation and Capabilities in Logistics and Supply Chains — reflects a pivotal moment for the field. Artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and automation are no longer emerging phenomena: they are reshaping how supply chains are designed, governed, and led. Yet technology alone does not create intelligent organisations. It is the interplay of strategic leadership, organisational capability, and purposeful innovation that determines whether firms can harness these forces effectively. The LSCM Forum 2027 invites critical, evidence-based dialogue on what it means to design supply chains that are genuinely intelligent — by intent, not by accident.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management Forum
The LSCM Forum exists because the most enduring solutions to supply chain challenges are built on a foundation of rigorous research. This year’s theme calls us to ask harder questions: not just whether our supply chains are smart, but whether they are wisely led, deliberately designed, and built on capabilities that will endure. I look forward to the conversations that follow.
