The Mediterranean Shipping Company (Mediterranean Shipping)'s Gioia-Ukraine and Georgia feeder service has been unveiled at Batumi International Container Terminal (BICT), a unit of Philippines-based International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI), in Georgia's Batumi. The feeder service of Mediterranean Shipping will be connecting ports in South America West Coast (SAWC), South America East Coast (SAEC), the East Mediterranean, Thyrennian, the US and other ports South of the Suez Canal. The new service will speed up links between the Port of Batumi and the ports in Italy's Gioia Tauro; Ilichevsk and Odessa in Ukraine; and Bulgaria's Burgas. BICT is a 100%-owned indirect unit of ICTSI and Batumi Sea Port. Mediterranean Shipping is based in Switzerland.
