Latvia: Employee of Latvijas Dzelzcels detained on suspicion of spying
LETA, 28 Dec 2016, online:-
Latvia's Security Police has detained an employee of the state-owned railway company, Latvijas Dzelzcels (LDz), on suspicion of spying. Interior Minister Rihards Kozlovskis said the man, Aleksandrs Krasnopjorovs, had taken photos of NATO equipment and provided the photos to a non-EU state. Earlier reports said Mr Krasnopjorovs had taken photos of NATO equipment delivered to Latvia by rail and sent the pictures to someone in Russia.
