Latvia's Freeport of Riga planned to make changes in its management structure, Latvijas Radio reported. Andris Ameriks, board chairman of the Freeport of Riga, said the changes would affect three departments and around 100 people. The port would lay off part of its staff, following recommendations from the Deloitte auditing company. The move was a response to the current situation in the transit sector. The port said the changes were aimed at improving its competitiveness in the long term.
