The Norwegian Petroleum Institute (Norsk Petroleuminstitutt) would like to see a new system for fuel excise duty in Norway. A future system should be based on satellite monitoring of the exact fuel consumption, according to the institute.
The Norwegian Parliament has asked the Parliament to investigate a new excise duty system for heavy transports. The Petroleum Institute would like to see all types of vehicles included.
