Swedish Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist does not wish to comment on Russia's lease of the port in Slite on the island of Gotland for gas pipeline North Stream 2. On a question in the Parliament from leader of the Liberal Party (Liberalerna) Jan Björklund about the Government's opinion, the Minister said the security situation has deteriorated, adding that the gas pipeline could be considered in that respect, but did not go further. He said the Government will give more information at a later stage.
