Logistics Manager, 03 Nov 2016, Online:-
The RHA has announced its next steps in a move to seek compensation for hauliers after four the largest lorry manufacturers were fined a total of EUR 2.9bn (USD 3.25bn) for price fixing. The trade association is to submit a collective proceeding under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to the Competition Appeal Tribunal. In July 2016, EU regulators fined DAF, Daimler, Iveco and Volvo/Renault over their involvement in a price cartel. Daimler received the largest fine of EUR 1bn.
