Belarus: Oil exporters not to switch from Baltic to Russian ports
The Baltic Course, 23 Aug 2017, online:-
Belarusian exporters of oil products would continue to ship their products via ports in the Baltic States, Sergey Grib, general director of the Belarusian Oil Company (BNK), announced. Earlier, Russia's state-run Russian Railways offered Belarusian exporters 50% discounts on the transport of oil products via ports in Northwest Russia until the end of 2018. However, Mr Grib said that the Russian offer was no less expensive than shipping products via Baltic ports. Shipping oil products via Russian ports might be problematic in winter. Moreover, logistic costs were lower at Baltic ports, Mr Grib pointed out.
