Denmark: ITD concerns about new regulations for special transports
EnergiWatch, 21 Jun 2017, online:-
The new Danish regulations regarding deadlines for special transports on select highways could become problematic for Danish road transport association International Transport Danmark (ITD). ITD argues that the new regulations will create new challenges for the industry, especially with regard to the transport of wind turbine components from Denmark to Europe. ITD Chief Adviser Jørn-Henrik Carstens states that Danish Minister of Transport Ole Birk Olesen agreed to present an analysis regarding potential costs from these deadlines, where upcoming trials will be closely monitored in order to protect jobs within the transport and wind power industries.
