Germany: Cuxport adopts Advantage portos by dbh Logistics IT
Press Release, 19 Jul 2017, Rhenus online:-
German marine support services firm Cuxport has adopted the Advantage portos digital terminal management system by German trade, logistics and ports business solutions provider dbh Logistics IT for its multi-purpose terminals in Cuxhaven starting July 2017. With the system, Cuxport aims to enable supervision and organisation of all the warehouse and handling processes. The deployment is expected to help Cuxport to develop an electronic data exchange with companies related to shipping, freight forwarding as well as public authorities such as the Niedersachsen Ports, the seaport's operator and customs services. The system features a design meant to ease current administration due to Cuxport's high connectivity with partners and the mobile process controls. The company has reported that its freight volumes and business are showing steady growth. Cuxport expects to see further growth with the completion of the port's berth 4 expected in the middle of 2018. This process is projected to be finished by August 2018.
