Denmark: A2Sea rumoured to be sold
Energiwatch, 27 Mar 2017, online:-
According to Berlingske Business' sources, Dong Energy and Siemens Wind Power are close to finding a buyer to offshore wind installation and services supplier A2Sea. The companies are now reviewing the bid received during February 2017 to find a suitable buyer. The price of A2Sea is valued at between USD 200mn (EUR 185.10mn) and USD 250mn. Possible buyers include Fred Olsen, MPI Offshore, Vroon and Deme Group.
According to the paper, Dong Energy and Siemens want to divest A2Sea as its vessels no longer meet the requirements for installing the companies' offshore wind turbines.
