France: Chalavan & Duc adopt Michelin's Effitrailer solution

French transport and logistics company Chalavan & Duc has chosen the Effitrailer telematics offering of Michelin Solutions in order to optimise the operational management and tracking of its 200 semi-trailers. The solution was selected by the business following a trial, during which Effitrailer prevented six breakdowns thanks to alerts issued by the system. According to Christian Duc, the technical and purchasing manager of Chalavan & Duc, the solution offers real benefits in terms of both efficiency and safety, while it is also a major step towards maintaining a service rate above 99% and should enable the firm to halve the number of breakdowns it records.
