Latvia: Freeport of Ventspils to build access road, landscape industrial zone
Baltic News Network, 23 Mar 2017, online:-
Latvia's Freeport of Ventspils has announced a tender for the construction of an access road and landscaping of nearby territories. The existing access road was located in the territory of a former Soviet animal farm. Construction works would begin in May 2017 and be concluded in August 2017. The European Cohesion Fund would cover 85% of the costs. After landscaping, new companies would be able to settle at the 7.3-hectare area in the port's industrial zone. Latvia's National Fish Producer Organisation (NZRO) planned to build a freezer facility in the area.
